|The Company||South East Australian Services (SEAS) is a Victorian based company comprising of 3 business units: Imperial Snubbing Services, Leighton Engineering and Fernbank Engineering. The company provides workover, snubbing and drilling, design, development, and equipment fabrication and supply services to the oil and gas industry.|
|The Challenge||Following an audit gap analysis, and as a means improving client service delivery, the company needed an induction program that could track information and quantify results. Inductions for employees, contractors and visitors were conducted face-to-face across all three businesses and it was difficult to guarantee a consistent message across all divisions.|
|The Solution||The first change that SEAS noticed was people’s willingness to attend the induction compared to people being bored with the face-to-face approach. They also now had a fully auditable process that enable them to record and report on every related statistic at any time.|
"Rapid Induct is one of the easiest safety initiatives we’ve introduced. We’ve found people are now more aware of the hazards they face and this in turn has increased the commitment to a safer workplace"
Steve Harrison, HS&E Manager, South East Australian Services
|The Company||Beach Energy (formally Beach Petroleum) is a long established oil and gas exploration and production company, based in Adelaide, South Australia.|
|The Challenge||Beach Petroleum identified a need for significant improvement in their previous induction delivery methods. Their field-staff’s time was being overly expended with face-to-face inductions and they needed to streamline their process.|
|The Solution||By freeing up their human resources in the field, Rapid Induct delivered a system that not only enabled their staff to focus on other tasks, it meant that contractors would arrive on-site already inducted.|
"The main reasons that we chose Rapid Induct as our preferred online induction provider were: a) cost was affordable and within our budget, b) ease of implementation and c) flexibility and the fact that once the content is in the system, we own it!"
Denny Kotru, Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator, Beach Energy
